joined the firm as an Associate Attorney in 2012. She represents public- and private-sector union clients and individual employees in all aspects of litigation in court, arbitrations and administrative proceedings. Laura has experience representing workers in a variety of industries, including agriculture, healthcare, and building services.
Laura earned her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of College and University Law, and vice-president of the Hispanic Law Students Association. She was very active in several student organizations, including the Barristers Trial Team, the Women's Legal Forum, the Social Justice Forum, and the ACLU. During law school, she worked with low income and migrant worker communities in Oregon. She also utilized her bilingual abilities at the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney in Elkhart, Indiana. Laura earned her M.A. from Florida State University , where she studied Spanish literature and also taught as an adjunct professor of Spanish. Prior to law school, Laura spent a number of years working at a national environmental law firm on behalf of citizen groups, scientists, and other parties to ensure government agencies and private interests follow the law.
