Advanced Arbitration is a two-day course for non-lawyers, which focuses on trial advocacy
skills. Discussions focus on case strategy, theory and tactics, the assessment of contract language, negotiation
history and past practice in selected cases. Role-playing scenarios include cross examination of a hostile
management witness, responding to objections, use of documents on cross-examination, use of union members as
expert witnesses and presentation of a final brief. This course is intended for non-lawyers who have completed
some arbitration training or have some experience in arbitration.
