Legal Intern (School Year)

Barnard Iglitzin & Lavitt LLP (Seattle), the Pacific Northwest’s largest and oldest union-side labor and employment firm, seeks a paid legal intern for 10-15 hours per week during the school year for our dynamic litigation practice. We are looking for a candidate with an outstanding academic background and demonstrated commitment to social justice and the labor movement. Our clients include, among many others, nurses, hotel, hospital, and homecare workers; flight attendants and pilots; educators; fire fighters; machinists; teamsters; longshore workers; and those in the building trades.
 
Compensation/benefits: $30 per hour; paid birth leave; 11 paid annual holidays; and parking or transportation allotment.

The ideal candidate will be capable, from day one, of handling complex litigation and arbitration and managing a diverse array of organizational client needs. Compensation/benefits: $105,000 - $130,000 annual salary; 100% employer-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance for employee and dependents; paid birth leave; 11 paid annual holidays; parking or transportation allotment; 401K eligibility after first year of employment; and a seven-year Partnership track.
