Legal Intern (School Year)

Barnard Iglitzin & Lavitt LLP (Seattle), the Pacific Northwest’s largest and oldest union-side labor and employment firm, seeks a paid legal intern for 10-15 hours per week during the school year for our dynamic litigation practice. We are looking for a candidate with an outstanding academic background and demonstrated commitment to social justice and the labor movement. Our clients include, among many others, nurses, hotel, hospital, and homecare workers, flight attendants and pilots, educators, fire fighters, machinists, teamsters, longshore workers, and those in the building trades. 

Compensation/benefits: $35 per hour and parking or transportation allotment.

Compensation/benefits: $95,000 annual salary with tiered bonus structure; 100% employer-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance for employee and dependents; paid birth leave; parking or transportation allotment; law school loan assistance ; 401K eligibility after first year of employment; and a seven-year Partnership track.

The ideal candidate will be capable, from day one, of handling complex litigation and arbitration and managing a diverse array of organizational client needs. Our clients include, among many others, nurses, hotel, hospital, and homecare workers, flight attendants and pilots, educators, fire fighters, machinists, teamsters, longshore workers, and those in the building trades.

Compensation/benefits: $110,000-130,000 base salary with tiered compensation structure; 100% employer-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance for employee and dependents; paid birth leave; parking or transportation allotment; law school loan assistance; 401K eligibility after first year of employment; and a seven-year Partnership track.
