Advanced Negotiations is a one-day advanced role-playing seminar designed to hone negotiating skills. The course explores several alternative models of labor negotiations. Covered topics include advanced negotiating techniques, contract drafting, proposal evaluation, mediation and tactics to retain control of the negotiation process.
Role-playing scenarios pit management against labor in a variety of situations designed to demonstrate how to deal with management strategies and go on the offense during the negotiating process. The course also highlights legal strategies used by management to gain advantage and leverage; what to watch out for and how to respond.
Course materials include published works on negotiations. This one-day course is intended for those who have completed the Effective Negotiations Seminar or who have some negotiations experience.
